🍕 Cloud Team at TurkNet

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and take responsibility for managing critical infrastructure, handling high-traffic systems, and ensuring security processes. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing Linux servers while continuously improving system infrastructure in collaboration with various teams.   

👩 👨 💻 Who You Are

• Manage, maintain, and optimize Linux systems 
• Expertise in BIND DNS, including authoritative and recursive DNS management  
• Develop security-focused approaches and support Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and URL Filtering processes  
• Knowledge of Suricata or similar Intrusion Detection/Prevention System (IDS/IPS) tools (Preferred)   
• Understand complex network architectures at the ISP level and be proficient in network routing processes 
• Perform advanced Linux operations, including disk expansion, service management, and kernel tuning
• Configure common services to best practice
• Handle centralized user management using FreeIPA
• Analyze complex system issues and lead troubleshooting processes  
• Optimize performance and scalability for high-traffic systems  
• Manage Linux repository and package distribution processes using Foreman, Katello, or similar tools  
• Develop automation processes and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) 
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies
• Follow and implement best security practices for system protection 
• Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and apply necessary patches and security measures
• Manage Linux workloads on OpenStack  

✅ Must-Haves

• At least 6+ years of experience in Linux system administration
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English. 
• Advanced knowledge of disk management, service management, network configuration, user management, disaster recovery, linux security and troubleshooting  
• Strong expertise in DNS systems and BIND configuration  
• Experience in DPI and URL filtering technologies  
• Ability to analyze security threats and manage IDS/IPS solutions  
• Experience with Foreman, Katello, or similar tools for Linux repository and package management  
• Understanding of complex ISP-level network infrastructures, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and traffic management  
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation tools is a must
• Experience with Git is a must
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or other container technologies is a plus  
• Strong knowledge of network and system security  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills  
• Team player with strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with OpenStack is a major plus
• Having certificates is a plus
